..... our politicians, not content with wishing to order our lives, our very own Lords and Ladies of misrule at the Welsh Assembly are now taxing the shoppers and handing over the revenue to the shopkeepers themselves.
I wonder if the "Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing", a mouthful in itself, and her staff had thought things through, all they needed to do was outlaw 1 use bags that do not decompose, and let the markets do the rest.
Jane Davidson, the minister, is to retire and take up a sinecure with ..... I can't remember who .... but sooner rather than later please, you are very high maintenance.

Welsh Ramblings, an odd ...
... posting where the WR author writes "Free Public Transport in Cardiff", my first thoughts were "how much is this free lunch actually costing the taxpayers"? Well, it might be free to the taxpayers if we are to believe WR, the post continues with ...
"... it is good to see that Plaid Cymru is now delivering free buses in the centre of Cardiff". No problem it seems that Plaid Cymru are picking up the tab. That's probably an illusion, Plaid paying.
The posting continues
"as part of Plaid's policy to make Cardiff a sustainable city."
I'm not quite sure how much influence this minor party has, they have 7 of 75 seats in Cardiff, in the greater scheme of things, wishful thinking probably. It's a shame the money wasn't used to support business start-ups in Cardiff.
Another case of politicians becoming entrepreneurs, it's always easy when you just give away other peoples money, its akin to a "Ponzi scheme".

Swansea succcess
Another success story, the zombie film Colin , not to my taste but the director, Marc Price, 30, originally from Swansea is a demonstration of excellence.
Some say that Mark Price would have been driven from Wales through lack of opportunity, fortunately he stayed in the United Kingdom so nothing is lost; thinking on, even if he had decided to travel far away, his talent would have returned printed on a DVD, so everyone wins.

An example for the Welsh ...
... Assembly, it is an example of how businesses are created, some grow, less prosper, a few become successful; Howies is an example of success.
Before AM's speak of growing business in Wales, they might take the time to consider how this little company made the grade, it took a decade and a half, and the book is still being written, if there is an ounce of sense in the Cardiff Bay debating chamber they might like to look for a structure that could be applied in Wales.
We have "early years education" for toddlers, we need "early years business" for "ideas", the ideas that create prosperity, the prosperity that creates jobs, jobs that require education and training, education and training that needs teachers and mentors ...... get the idea, not a monolithic government organisation, a framework so that business can be supported (not subsidised) in the way it needs.

Kirsty Williams ...
... is a closet Conservative. She writes "It’s time to move from a governmental mindset that assumes ministers know best, to an enabling, inclusive approach", shall we tell her ...
...
... its called "little government".
...
Unfortunately when she wrote ... "Profit .............. flowing down the M4 to head offices in London. " she demonstrated both a poor understanding of United Kingdom and international business operations, Conservative she is not, in fact her knowledge of business is more representative of primary school finger painting than economics.

An old joke true enough ...
FISHIN' TRIP
Dave and his buddies were hanging out and planning an upcoming fishing trip. Unfortunately, he had to tell them that he couldn't go this time because his wife wouldn't let him. After a lot of teasing and name calling, Dave headed home, frustrated.
The following week, when Dave's buddies arrived at the lake to set up camp, they were shocked to see Dave was already there. He was already sitting at the campground with a cold beer, swag rolled out, fishing rod in hand, and a camp fire
glowing.
"How did you talk your missus into letting you go Dave?"
"I didn't have to," Dave replied. I went home from work last night and slumped down in my chair with a beer to drown my sorrows. Then the ol' lady snuck up behind me and covered my eyes and said, 'Surprise'... When I peeled her hands back she was standing there in a beautiful see-through negligee and she said, 'Carry me into the bedroom and tie me to the bed and you can do whatever you want' ...... SO HERE I AM!

I don't understand ..
.. why other voles here on Skomer run away when I meet them in the hedgerow. I just say "hi, have you heard the latest from Cardiff .." and all you can see are tails disappearing into the undergrowth.
Today I noticed in the news that the German firm "Bosch" is getting ready to up sticks and take back to Germany the 600 or so jobs from Miskin near Llantrisant, all's fair in love and war I guess, but this war hasn't been declared formally, its just in the small print ...
... you know the words, "when the going gets tough, the jobs go back to the homeland." So says Germany's Angela Merkel, the Welsh Assembly on the other hand are unable to read any writing on any wall.
I wonder why they are so stupid ?
